Can mineral oil be used as eye makeup remover?

Well it can help wipe off eye makeup, but then you have oil left on your eyes. A regular eye make-up remover from the store would be best. I think Neutrogena makes one.Can mineral oil be used as eye makeup remover?
Baby oil is Mineral oil. It just has fragrance added to it and is derived from the same stuff vaseline is derived from which is petrolatum or petroleum. Report Abuse
Can mineral oil be used as eye makeup remover?
i strongly do not advise that as mineral oil is very bad for your skin. it soesnt let your skin breathe. i would advise you to try and avoid mineral oil as much as possible.
I use it myself sometimes but it's probably really bad for me.
Mineral oil is not good for anything. Why would someone want to put petroleum on their eyes?
you could but it is way too heavy for our skin. i would suggest purchasing johnson's baby oil ... it is made for babies and therefore is much milder and easier on the skin.
Hi there. I just replied to another one of your questions with more details on mineral oil. Basically, because mineral oil is too large to penetrate the pores of our skin, it sits on the top layer like saran. If your eye makeup remover has mineral oil in it, it's going to sit on your skin and look and feel oily. Plus, if you want to redo your eye makeup, this will cause it to smear, smudge, or run. For example, if you use an eye makeup remover with mineral oil in the evening and get up to do your makeup in the morning, you might notice that your eye makeup will clump, smear, and/or smudge. This is because the mineral oil is still sitting on the top layer. There are water based eye makeup removers available. Those are better for your skin. If you have any other questions, I'm happy to help.
Mineral oil could get into your eyes and that would not be a good thing.Use a small amount of baby oil or vaseline.

Do not get it in your eyes.
