I would give it an 8. It does work well and it is very gentle.

Its worth the price by far,...and then some. I have really sensitive skin and every other eye makeup and makeup remover i have used has irritated my skin and my eyes (i wear contacts). Mary kay hasnt given me a problem yet. I wear all waterproof makeup too, because of the environment my job is in, and it takes it right off, including really hard to smudge mascara. I give it a 10. :)
I was given this as a gift and was reluctant to try it. I had never used eye makeup remover. Before, I was just use the old fashioned soap and water... which I later learned can damage your eye skin and lashes with all the rubbing and tugging. I ended up using it and now I'm gonna miss it because it's nearly gone. I give it a 10!!
